Welcome to AFROTC Detachment 755

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras is an Air Force officer commissioning and leadership program for full-time college students. Cadets are students first with their primary focus on academics. As part of this program, they participate in Aerospace Studies, Physical Training and Leadership Laboratory classes where they hone their leadership skills. After graduation and successful completion of the AFROTC program, cadets are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Air Force or United States Space Force

The Department of the Air Force’s Core Values are: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. This program is both mentally and physically challenging, but worthwhile. You will learn the value of teamwork, grit, determination and the art of leading others. You will also develop strong interpersonal skills that will prepare you to be an Air Force or Space Force officer.

Interested students may enroll in our classes directly out of high school or during their sophomore year of college. Joining as a college junior or senior is possible for those who will pursue a Master’s degree immediately after receiving their Bachelor’s.
